Xbox’s Phil Spencer already has Project Scarlett at home

Here we go folks, it looks like Microsoft/Xbox may have finalized the specs for Project Scarlett, the next-generation Xbox. What makes me think that? Well, a little tweet from Xbox’s Phil Spencer who teased the world by saying he already has a Project Scarlett in his home.

That lucky guy.

And it’s started….this week I brought my Project Scarlett console home and it's become my primary console, playing my games, connecting to the community and yes, using my Elite Series 2 controller, having a blast. Great work by the team, 2020 is going to be an incredible year.

That lucky guy.

But seriously, what does this mean for Project Scarlett? Well, for starters it could mean the final specs have been nailed down which would be great news. We’re likely still quite a way from any games that are developed to take full advantage of the console. So chances are Phil is enjoying some time with the existing Xbox library.

Since there were no pics included, we’ll all have to imagine what it looks like. Lastly, this also could confirm that we’ll see the new Xbox make its first official showing at E3 2020. Of course, unless Phil decides to post some pictures which I’m sure he’s not going to do, we’ll have to wait until then to see it.

Of course, the hardware that you and I will see doesn’t get released until Holiday 2002 and a lot could change by then.

So Phil, where’s our invite so we can see what the greatness is all about?
