Adam Hunter makes his return in Streets of Rage 4

By Keith MitchellDecember 10, 2019

Do you remember when Streets of Rage 4 was announced and everyone went “where the heck is Adam Hunter?”? Then when everyone got upset when we still didn’t see him, but his daughter was revealed? Well, you can all calm down now, because Adam is finally here. Yes, friends, Adam has officially been announced as a playable character.

Shown off today during Nintendo’s Nindies segment, Adam Hunter was shown and he looks vastly different than he did in the first game. In fact, it looks like he’s been hitting the gym and hard. He’s also rather dapper, and he’s still rocking the same yellow and black colors that he’s worn in the past. He also looks to be quite deadly with the barrage of punches and kicks he’s exhibited during this reveal trailer.

However, there’s a catch. While Adam is in the game, he’s an unlockable character. Players will have to unlock him via the story mode first before they can stroll the mean streets with him. As to what, we’ll have to find out once the game is released sometime in 2020.

While Adam Hunter was one of the original trios in the first Streets of Rage, he was absent in the following ups. Replaced by his younger brother, Skate in both Streets of Rage 2 and 3 as a playable character. Now, he’s making this comeback and I couldn’t be happier.

Streets of Rage 4 still doesn’t have a release date, but the title will be available in 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
