‘Marvel’s Runaways’ Will End With its 3rd Season

By Sara Roncero-MenendezNovember 19, 2019

It seems like in the wake of Disney+, there’s been a lot of change over in terms of Marvel content available on other platforms. First it was the cancellation of Cloak and Dagger, followed by the cancellation of the proposed Ghost Rider show, and now its most popular show, Marvel’s Runaways, will be taking its final bow with a third and final season.

To say there’s a lot going on in this trailer would be an understatement. First we have The Family who have invaded the body of four characters. We know three already, but there’s one left unaccounted for who poses the biggest threat. Meanwhile, the rest of the group has to save Chase, Gert, and Karolina, all of whom have been captured. On top of that, Nico taps into a dark realm where Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is looking to use her as a means to come into the world. Oh, and there’s the promised Cloak and Dagger crossover still happening, even though that show no longer exists. How they’re going to wrap everything up in just a handful of episodes is the biggest mystery of all.

One has to wonder if Marvel/Disney is attempting to end the Jeph Loeb era of their shows. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is in its final season and most fans speculate that the proposed Helstrom show will join the list of cancellations by Thanksgiving. Loeb is also expected to drop out formally around the same time, but we’ll keep you posted if that does happen.

Marvel’s Runaways Season 3 will premiere on Hulu on December 13, 2019.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
