‘Transformers: War for Cybertron’ Series heading to Netflix in 2020

Yes, give us more Transformers animated shows

Let’s be honest, the Transformers are amazing. The toys are awesome, the older cartoons were enjoyable and even the later CGI shows were pretty sweat. I suppose the live-action movies were ok. So isn’t about time that a new show that surrounds those lovable transforming robots gets made?

Netflix seems to think so and they’ve announced a brand new series that’s being produced, “Transformers: War for Cybertron’ and is slated to be released in 2020.

This will be a new origin story that will show the beloved series in a new light. We’ll also see both the heroic Autobots and the chaotic Decepticons, but perhaps not the ones we’re used to seeing.

While Netflix hasn’t mentioned who’s working on the show, it was mentioned earlier this year that Rooster Teeth is involved with Japanese animation studio Polygon Pictures (Transformers Prime, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). FJ DeSanto, who’s worked on is attached to the new series. As are George Krstic, Gavin Hignight, and Brandon Easton, with the latter having worked on several Transformers shows in the past.

I’m excited to see what comes out of this new show, despite having to wait until 2020. As a fan of the Transformers since the original toys and cartoon hit the US back during the 1980s, I’ve been waiting for this.

Are you excited as I am regarding Transformers: War for Cybertron? You got the Touch! You got the Powa! YEAH!
