If you were to sum up the series known as Pokemon in one word, it would no doubt be “evolution”. Because it started out as a simple RPG with 151 Pokemon that now spans nearly 25 years, 8 generations, multiple animes and mangs, card games, video games, and more. Pokemon is a worldwide phenomenon. A phenomenon that is aiming to grow via Pokemon Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has released a new trailer for the game. But instead of just doing what they’ve been doing recently with 2-minute snippets of Sword and Shield, they instead decided to focus on how Pokemon has evolved as a gaming franchise. From basic sprites, to complex animations, 3D models, and now an HD console game for the series, the franchise has come a long way.
Pokemon Sword and Shield arrive on Switch on November 15th.
