First two episodes of Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE available to watch on YouTube.

Alright, Gundam fans, we’ve waited months for this and now the day has come. That’s right, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE has finally aired and the first two episodes are now available on YouTube.

Two years have passed since the adventures of the Build Divers, and the upgraded GBN has become even more exciting. Hiroto is a Diver who wanders alone through the Dimension. Kazami is a frivolous, independent Diver. May is a solo Diver. And Parviz is a lonely novice Diver. Each of them is alone, but the course of events will end up uniting them into a new team of Build Divers. What awaits Hiroto and the others is a boundless super-experience that far transcends GBN.

I’m not going to spoil the episodes, so I recommend you checking them out for yourself. I will say that this does continue from the previous Gundam Build Divers, as you see.

The new team is quite the experiment, it will be interesting to see if they grow on me or not. However, the new lead character, Miroto, reminds me of another Gundam protagonist. Mainly Mikazuki Augus from Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS. From the character design, right down to the personality.

His new Gunpla, on the other hand, is inquiring as it uses a modular system. Similar to the RX-78-2 Gundam which it seems to be based on. Called the “Core Gundam”, this new suit utilizes an upgrade system called the Planets System, which allows it to use multiple armors; Earthree, Marsfour, and Veetwo (Venus). Which seems familiar to the Wear System from Gundam AGE

That said, I’m not sure how I feel about this new series. I wasn’t a big fan of Gundam Build Divers and felt it was inferior to Gundam Build Fighters. That said, I’m going to give this new show a fair chance.

It’s been months since we’ve had a new series, and I’m starving. Now, off to find Patrick, I know he’s hiding in these episodes somewhere.
