Netflix’s ‘GLOW’ Gets Renewed for Fourth, and Final, Season

It was good while it lasted, but as Netflix begins to close out some of the prestige shows that got them all those awards, we knew this day would come. GLOW will be getting a fourth season, but it will be its last one.

That’s right, shortly after its third season aired on the streaming platform, Netflix announced that the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling would be taking their final bow during their fourth season. This comes off the final season of Orange is the New Black, which also got Netflix all of the Emmy nominations it wanted.

“We have a full story to tell and whether or not we’re idiots for not giving ourselves an ending this season remains to be seen,” series creator Liz Flahive tells The Hollywood Reporter after season 3 premiered. “We’ve played it this way every season, where we’ve sort of left it all on the field. This show has a big heart and a big cast and big story to tell, and other people are not going to set that limit for us. We can’t do that, because it wouldn’t be fair to what we’re trying to do. We’d love to have the opportunity to give the show a satisfying ending.”

No word yet as to when GLOW Season 4 will air, but it is likely to come out sometime in 2020.
