Konami’s new Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls title heads to iOS and Android

A new Castlevania exclusively for mobile devices

A few days ago, I stumbled on to an article that talked about Konami and how they’re waiting to get back to actual gaming. Which made me very skeptical, only due to Konami’s track record from the last 5-6 years. I couldn’t take it seriously at all. That all said, I recently found out that they’re working on a new Castlevania game for iOS and Android called Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls.

This came out of nowhere and debuted during TGS 2019 and I’ve never heard of it, that is until today. So what is this game about? Well, according to the official website, this new game will feature several iconic characters from the Castlevania series. The website shows several familiar faces such as Alucard, Simon Belmont, Maria Renard, Charlotte Aulin (Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin) and Shanoa (Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia).

There’s also a new character,  Genya Arikado gets a mysterious letter and heads toward a new venture. There’s not a lot of info about this new character, however, he’s supposedly a person who’s been preventing Dracula’s from resurrecting, again.

Iconic characters from the classic Castlevania series return! A new entry in the beloved franchise arrives exclusively on mobile.

Take on the demonic horde as your favorite characters from the Castlevania series!
Master each character’s unique combat style to overcome even the fiercest of foes.

The game will also feature a multiplayer mode called Bounty Hunt. Here players will compete in a hunt to take down as many creatures as possible. Outside of this, we don’t know anything else regarding this new game. Though we may hear more about it during TGS 2019. The thought a new Castlevania intrigues me, even if it is exclusive to iOS and Android devices. Hopefully, this will be compatible with controllers and if it is, then I’m all over this.

C’mon, more Castlevania is a good thing.
