Streets of Rage 4 platforms announced, Cherry Hunter revealed

By Keith MitchellAugust 19, 2019
Streets of Rage - Cherry Hunter01

Daddy’s little girl

Ever since Streets of Rage 4 was announced,  Dotemu kept us all in the dark as to what consoles the title would be released on. Well, the cat’s out of that bag and the brawler is being released on the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

A new character, Cherry Hunter, has also been introduced. Fans of the Streets of Rage series that were sad that Adam wasn’t present in the game will be happy to know that Cherry is his daughter. Not interested in becoming a cop like Adam, Cherry instead fell in love with music. Now she’s combining both music and martial to help rid the streets of all evildoers. Adam would be so proud.

Sadly, it looks like we won’t get to play Streets of Rage 4 this year, as the press release mentions next year. So we still have a ways off before it’s in our hands.

However, if you’re at either Gamescom 2019 or heading out to PAX West 2019, you’ll be able to get some hands-on. Streets of Rage 4 is being shown at Gamescom 2019 by appointment only. While fans will be able to play the latest build of Streets of Rage 4 can do so at the upcoming PAX West event in Seattle in booth 6802.
