The hype train from EVO 2019 hasn’t slowed down one bit and we still got plenty of new game announcements. This time around it’s Arc System Works with the announcement that they’re working on a new Guilty Gear title.
In addition to the announcement, a short trailer showing off both Sol and Ky was released. The art style looks a bit different, but still amazing. There was also another character that was shown off at a distance. The game will use the Unreal Engine 4. Outside of this, not much is known about the game at the moment.
This new Guilty Gear title won’t be released until 2020, and now I have to wonder if this is going to be a current-gen title. Or will this be a cross-gen title, with the launch of the next-gen PlayStation and Xbox releasing the same year.
Either way, it’s exciting to know yet another Guilty Gear title is being worked on. Hopefully the story isn’t as complicated to follow as the previous games have.
