Looks like Nintendo may be on the verge of announcing Super Nintendo games for the Switch.

According to Eurogamer, Nintendo has created documentation that features an illustration of a Super Nintendo controller. This was spotted by a ResetEra user Link83. According to Link83, a new FCC filing outlines the specific information for the “HAC042 Wireless Game Device”.

While it doesn’t come out and mention Super Nintendo, the shape is definitely unmistakable. Adding to the fact that it’s wireless seals the deal.

Ever since Nintendo stopped producing the Super Nintendo Classic, the company did state that future SNES games. via Switch Online. Not to mention that a Nintendo Switch Online application was datamined and it was discovered that multiple SNES games were being planned for the service. Also found were several emulators planned for the service as well.

The only question is when will Nintendo finally make this announcement? I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see my favorite Super Nintendo games become playable via Switch Online.

As for this controller, I dunno about that. Especially since more Switch owners likely already have their SNES controller thanks to 8Bitdo.
