Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek Movie Has A Script

By Todd BlackJune 15, 2019
Star Trek

A not so long time ago (last December in fact) it was revealed that none other than Quentin Tarantino was in the running for making the next Star Trek film. The “Kelvin” universe as it was called had three films, and though the third one was more critically and fan-praised than the second one, a fourth movie has been in limbo ever since. Which no doubt led to Tarantino getting a look.

But for a while, that’s all it was, a look, an idea. Or was it? Because in a recent interview with Empire he noted that a script really is there for his Star Trek film idea. And it’ll honor both the legacy of the films, while adding his R-rated nature to it. Including profanity.

“If I do it, it’ll be R-rated.” As for the latest stage of the project, the filmmaker said: “There’s a script that exists for it now. I need to weigh in on it, but I haven’t been able to do that yet.”

Also, the script is apparently liked by Paramount, which could mean that this next film could be made by Tarantino. The only thing stopping him from doing it right now is that he’s doing final work and press for his 9th film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood…“, which debuts this Summer.
