Horror-themed fighting game Omen of Sorrow now available for PC

By Keith MitchellJune 21, 2019

Omen of Sorrow, a horror-themed fighting game (think Darkstalkers) is now available for the PC. Released towards the end of 2018 for the PlayStation 4, the fighter was received with mixed reactions.

The game is currently available on the Epic Games Store and is priced at $19.99. There’s also a free demo that lets you try the game out online and two rotating characters. Which is pretty similar to how Killer Instinct on the Xbox One and PC was handled.

In addition, Omen of Sorrow on the PC has cross-play enabled with the PlayStation 4 versions. Which is a nice way to get more players actively checking out the game.

When we reviewed Omen of Sorrow on the PS4, we thought the game had some potential. However, the lack of a tutorial mode, animation issues and the original price of $49.99 made it hard to recommend. There also wasn’t a demo available. Now that the game has a lower price point and a fully functional demo. As well a patch that will add new characters, stages, and gameplay balance.

With all the changes, It’s definitely worth checking out. The fighting system is simple and it feels familiar to a lot of other fighting games. Fans of the Darkstalkers series or Skullgirls may want to give it a try.
