E3 2019: Xbox Game Pass is Now the Best Deal in Video Games

By Robert DolenJune 9, 2019

In Xbox’s E3 2019 press conference, Microsoft formally announced some major updates to Xbox Game Pass, including the addition of full PC support, bundling with Xbox Live at a discount, as well as a huge amount of new games heading to the subscription.

Today the Xbox Game Pass journey begins on PC.

After teasing a few weeks ago, Xbox Game Pass was officially announced for PC today, beginning with a beta program that includes over a hundred different games available now. Several games such as Metro Exodus, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and Hollow Knight are included, as well as 30 new games,  will be premiering on Game Pass alongside their traditional release. A new version of the Xbox app is now available for download on PC, where users can begin with PC Game Pass for $4.99 while in beta and $9.99 a month upon full release.

For those who also own an Xbox, Game Pass has a seriously good deal for players, as you can bundle together Xbox Live and Game Pass (Xbox and PC) for $14.99 altogether. Not only that but for a limited time, you can get the Ultimate bundle with an introductory price of $1 for the first month.

This is a huge deal now and will only continue to get better as the year goes on, as the majority of new releases as well as this year’s current games are being added to Game Pass. It’s also important to note the 25 incredible indie games that are coming to the subscription as well as the triple-A games. And at $14.99 a month at most for the service, that’s honestly a steal.

I'm Rob Dolen, not to be confused with Bob Dole! That's alright, I get it all the time. I play too much Super Smash Bros. competitively, but when I'm not doing that I play pretty much everything else under the video game sun.
