E3 2019: DOOM Eternal Will Support RTX

Add another upcoming title that will support Nvidia’s RTX cards and will feature ray tracing. As mentioned not too long on, Marty Stratton (executive producer for id Software) announced that DOOM Eternal will have RTX support during Giant Bomb’s @ Nite show.

He goes on to mention that the technology isn’t in place as of yet, as the priority is finishing the game. But he does reaffirm that RTX support is coming. And when they do get it working, ID Software will likely do it in better than anyone has done it before. His words, not mine.

That said, expect to hear more and possibly see DOOM Eternal running in RTX glory at Quakecon 2019…. sorry, DOOMCon 2019.

DOOM Eternal releases on November 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
