Dead Cells Passes 2 Million Copies Sold, New DLC Rise Of The Giant Available For PS4 And Switch

Dead Cells Rise of the Giant DLC

Ah, Dead Cells. A favorite of mine and likely yours has been doing quite well it seems. Not only is it an amazing take on the roguelike/Metroidvania craze, but Motion Twin has announced that the game has surpassed 2 million copies sold.  Which is amazing news for an indie title. Congrats to Motion Twin are definitely in order.

The other bit of good news is that the new DLC, Rise of the Giant has also been released. Available today for the PS4 and Switch. In this new DLC, players will get a few new updates which include new levels, new bosses (YEAH!) and tons of new content. Skins have also been added this time around, include a female skin. Xbox One owners will have to wait a bit longer, while PC gamers have had access to the DLC since March 2019.

Oh, did I forget to mention that Rise of the Giants DLC is also free? Yep, it’s free DLC for you and me, if you already own Dead Cells that is. So get to downloading.

So, in a recap. 2 million copies sold, new DLC for free and oh yeah, Dead Cells is also coming to the iOS and Android this Summer. Yep, this games’ future is looking mighty fine.
