Kitana Finally Confirmed As A Playable Character In Mortal Kombat 11

By Keith MitchellApril 8, 2019

Ever since Mortal Kombat 11 was announced, a bunch of different names of hopeful returning characters had been tossed around. One of those names was of Kitana, everyone’s favorite fan-tossing combatant. After several live streams, we still didn’t see any mention of her being playable. Which has disappointment a fair share of Mortal Kombat fans, can you blame them? Leaving many of those to wonder if she’d even be in the game.

Well, that all changes today as the official Mortal Kombat tweet feed dropped a short video today, showing off the in-game model of Kitana.

Yep, she’s finally been announced, though I’m a bit miffed that a character that’s been a major player for quite some time was announced like this. There’s also no gameplay shown, but I”m sure we’ll see another live stream that will show her off and then some. Either way, that’s one more character added to the playable roster up to 23

The full roster of playable characters so far:

  • Baraka
  • Cassie Cage
  • Cetrion
  • D’vorah
  • Erron Black
  • Geras
  • Jade
  • Jacqui Briggs
  • Jax
  • Johnny Cage
  • Kabal
  • Kano
  • Kitana
  • Kollector
  • Kotal Khan
  • Kung Lao
  • Liu Kang
  • Noob Saibot
  • Raiden
  • Scorpion
  • Skarlet
  • Sonya Blade
  • Sub-Zero

Now that she’s announced, where the heck is Mileena? We got Jade, we got Kitana, we need Mileena to be announced now. Besides she’s been my main for quite some time, so I really want to see her in Mortal Kombat 11. Can she please be next, Ed Boon?

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
