Nindies Announces Release Date for Katana ZERO

By Yanvier PaganMarch 20, 2019
Katana ZERO

During the Nintendo Nindies this morning which showcases multiple indie games coming to the switch, they announced the release date for Katana ZERO, a fast-paced neo-noir action platformer game developed by Askiisoft. You play as Dragon, a well-trained assassin capable of instantly taking out any obstacles that are in your path with your trusty Katana and other objects that are in your way. You go through each level slashing any enemy you come in contact with as well as using the traps that the levels have against the many enemies that stand in your way.

Some key features are:

“Exceptional Combat: Overcome your opposition however the situation requires. Deflect gunfire back at foes, dodge oncoming attacks, and manipulate enemies and environments with traps and explosives. Leave no survivors.

Hand-Crafted Sequences: Each level is uniquely designed for countless methods of completion. Defeat foes creatively, using spontaneous approaches to eliminate your enemy as you see fit.

Unconventional Storytelling: An enigmatic story told through cinematic sequences woven into the gameplay, twisting and folding to an unexpected conclusion.”

You definitely have to be very cautious while going through each level because one single hit from you enemies equals instant death! Once you die, the level rewinds itself like a VHS tape to the start of the level so you are able to restart with a new strategy in mind and spill blood on the walls a little differently. Now nobody likes to start a level again from the beginning so one of the cool features the game has is that you are able to slow down time. This will definitely come in handy when dealing with multiple enemies as you will be able to ricochet bullets back to them with your Katana in slo-mo fashion.

Katana ZERO slashes it’s way to the Nintendo Switch April 18.
