Ni no Kuni Receives Original Story Manga

By Josh PiedraMarch 9, 2019

Level 5’s critically acclaimed Ni no Kuni video game will be receiving a manga. The announcement was made in the April issue of Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, which is printed by Kodansha Comics. Ran Kuze will be the one launching the manga. Kuze’s previous works include Tokyo Ravens: Sword of Song and Tenshin – World War Angel. The manga is set to launch in the May issue of the magazine which goes on sale in Japan on April 9.

The manga will tell an original story from the Ni no Kuni franchise. Level 5 is supervising the story’s creation. The first chapter of the manga will also include a special color page. No further details on what the original story will entail have been released.

Ni no Kuni was released for the PlayStation 3 back in 2011 in Japan and in 2013 in the West. A sequel was released for PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2018.
