Microsoft-owned Studio The Initiative Wants The World To Know Who They Are

By Keith MitchellMarch 11, 2019
Microsoft's The Initiative

By now, everyone is familiar with the Microsoft-owned Santa Monica studio that is packed with talent from all multiple AAA studios. That studio is called The Initiative and I’d be lying if Xbox One owners everywhere weren’t looking at them as some sort of gaming savior. I’m pretty sure the members that make up the team are also aware of this.

So in a first time ever video, we finally get to hear some of the thoughts from those that comprise the team. As well as a look into the studio, one that we haven’t seen before. Of course, this video didn’t disappoint either. Not only did we hear some things that would make any gamer happy. Including that the team is devoted and passionate about making games. That they’re ready to get down and dirty, a challenge that everyone at The Initiative is ready to take on. And one that I really can’t wait to see what they end up producing.

Especially with the sheer amount of talent that’s on that team. Just to jog your memory, members of this team include Chris O’Neill, Darrell Gallagher, Daniel Neuburger, Brian Westergaard, and Tom Shepherd, among others. All of which all came from AAA studios such as Naughty Dog, Rockstar Games, Crystal Dynamics, just to name a few. You could say that Microsoft has created their very own Dream Team.

I can’t wait to see what this team comes up with, even though whatever that is might be a few years away. I’d be surprised if we even see something on the Xbox One and had already assumed that we won’t see anything whatever Microsoft’s next console ends up being. Either way, I’ll be watching this studio with much anticipation.
