Toys On A Tuesday: These Tranformers From The New York Toy Fair Are Freaking Amazing

By Keith MitchellFebruary 19, 2019
Omega Supreme Toys on a Tuesday

Ok, ok… so my current Gunpla piece is taking way longer than it should have. I feel bad about not getting a Toys on A Tuesday article, so I figured I’d talk about something else — Transformers. Who doesn’t like a piece about Transformers, right?.

If you’re a Transformer fan or have a passing interest, you’re gonna love these. Both were recently shown off at the 2019 New York Toy Fair, which I was invited to but didn’t attend. Yes, I am kicking myself right now.

Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Titan Omega Supreme

Releases on August 15, 2019
Price: $159.99

Available at Amazon, Bigbadtoystore As a child, I always wanted an Omega Supreme toy. I loved him in the cartoon despite newer, big, and perhaps strong Transformers being released after him. There was always something about Omega that made him stand out. Maybe it was the way he talked or how he was always the lone wolf against the world.  As I got older, I realized the toy wasn’t all that, and even though I had several chances to acquire him, I passed.

That was in the past. Now, this new model, I’d be a fool to pass up on this one. Not only is he tall, I mean, but he also towers over pretty much every Transformer out now. He also looks just like the cartoon – just as he should. Definitely a million times better than the original toy and the Mechfanstoys MF-34 Huge Dragon.Transformers Titan Class Omega Supreme-01

Before you ask, yes, he does transform into the mobile base/rocket. Why wouldn’t he?

Bonus: Someone posted a video about this on YouTube. Now you can see how tall he actually is. He’s even towering over Prime.

Oh, you’re gonna love the next one!

Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Commander Jetfire

Releases on August 1st, 2019
Price: $79.99
Available at: Amazon, Bigbadtoystore

As much as I geeked out over the Titan Class Omega Supreme, this Jetfire is equally impressive. Fans of the Generation One Transformers know exactly what I’m talking about.

This version of Jetfire is easily the best as it’s completely faithful to the cartoon version. We’re not talking about the original version as the Super Valkyrie Fighter from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. Did you know that Hasbro actually purchased the design and labeled it as Jetfire? Sure, as a kid, I thought it was cool. That was until I learned about it and went, “This looks nothing like the one in the cartoon.”

Needless to say, I’ve already put down the cash for the pre-order for this as well. Just look at it! Look. At. It! Even the Autobot signal changes to the Decepticon insignia and vice versa. That’s a really nice touch if I say so myself.

He also has an armored version which adds some serious firepower. This is not part of the original G1 character, but damn if it doesn’t look sweet. I still can’t get over how good this looks. My inner child has already taken possession of my wallet.

Well, that’s Toys on A Tuesday for today. I promise the Gunpla article will be worth your time. Watch for it in the upcoming week.

Oh, and if you’re checking this out, Hasbro, we’d love to check out these for ya. Just let us know!
