The Road To Double Or Nothing Just Name Dropped Second AEW Event

By Todd BlackFebruary 27, 2019
Double Or Nothing All Elite Wrestling

We are now just three months away from the arrival of Double or Nothing, the first official event for All Elite Wrestling that will take place in Las Vegas on May 25th. And the special Youtube series counting down the weeks to the event continues to bring more to the table with each episode. And with episode five, two major bombshells were dropped.

After a nice segment showing Chris Jericho in perfect heel form (and demanding a “thank you” from Kenny Omega after he beats him at Double or Nothing, we got the reveal of a new addition to the women’s division of AEW. Bea Priestley has officially joined the roster, and adds another veteran presence to a pretty stacked roster that includes Britt Baker, Kylie Ray, Ada Kong, and more. Many who follow NJPW know her husband, Will Ospreay.

But what was “hidden” in the reveal of Bea Priestley was that All Elite Wrestling has named and dated the second event of their company. It’ll be in Jacksonville, Florida (which was teased in the first rally for AEW) and it will be called “Fight For the Fallen”. This is because proceeds from the event will go to help those who have been affected by gun violence in the past year such as in Parkland, Florida. Bea will make her AEW debut there. Or at least, that’s the plan for now.

The event itself will apparently take place in July, which means we could be getting bi-monthly events from AEW for now, at least until things continue to start rolling and they get the TV deal started and all that.

This is very exciting, and it adds even more hype going into Double Or Nothing, especially since they continue to tease the match between Cody Rhodes and a certain “mystery opponent” who his wife Brandi doesn’t seem to want to see fight Cody for “personal reasons”. We’ll just have to see how it goes.
