Nintendo is making waves in order to help generate more console sales. With the report coming out about a smaller, more portable Nintendo Switch, Nintendo realized that they need more than just new hardware to generate interest.
That’s when Nintendo decided to toss out a teaser that they have a brand-new title for the Switch that will “make everyone happy.” The teaser came during their 2019 fiscal briefing. Anything else from here on out about this new title is nothing more than pure speculation. We do know that this new, unannounced title is set to launch during the 2019 fiscal year so whatever it is, it’s safe to say that it’s pretty far along in development.
The 2019 fiscal year begins in April so we shouldn’t really expect any news until this time frame. Aside from this “happy” title, Nintendo also stated that they have a title or titles that are also a fit for Switch Online.
One thing is for certain, the vagueness will get people talking and speculating but sometimes, things like this can backfire on a company if they can’t deliver on the hype that they, themselves, create. Only time will tell what these mystery titles are.
