Here Is Why Sobble Should Be Your Companion in Pokemon Sword and Shield

By Yanvier PaganFebruary 27, 2019
Sobble

In a Pokemon-focused Nintendo Direct, Game Freak just announced the new generation of starters and Twitter is literally (not literally) blowing up about these adorable new characters and people are already forming squads and gangs and friendships are being tested as we speak. The titles for the new generation will be Pokemon Sword and Shield.

The adorable new starters that everyone are talking about are Grookey, a grass-type, who is described as being a mischievous, curious chimp; Scorbunny, a fire-type, a highly, energetic bunny; and Sobble, the water-type, who is more of a timid lizard that likes to hide.

The new starters are great and all but the clear choice for the one to choose is Sobble and here is why:

First Reason

I know some of you might look at Sobble and think “psh look at it, all timid and shy and startled and runs away so easily. Why would I ever choose this as my starter?!” Why you ask? Because this starter has potential. It might look like an underdog but everyone loves a good underdog story. We might not know anything about the evolutions yet but the fact that it was camouflaged in the water could mean that it might evolve to a water/ghost type and that would be badass since there aren’t that many Pokemon with those attributes within the Poke-verse making it stand out even more. Wouldn’t you want to have a Pokemon that stands out with these possible attributes other than having a Pokemon with basic attributes? It’s a no brainer.

Second Reason

Speaking of evolutions, let’s talk for a second about this. Do you guys remember Piplup? Very adorable little penguin chick who was the starter for generation IV? Looks the least threatening out of the three but it evolved into Empoleon making it look like King of the Arctic Sea! Imagine having chosen this adorable, timid lizard for it to evolve to some sort of incredible water dragon-looking Pokemon! That would be incredible and would outclass the other two starters by lightyears.

Badass level over 9000!

And last but not least

This reason is the obvious reason, it looks so FREAKING adorable! I mean LOOK AT IT!!

Look at how cute it looks dousing the flames of that incredibly energetic Scorbunny. Scorbunny seems like trouble as well as Grookey. Why would you want to get into any trouble with people and other Pokemon due to a mischievous monkey or an incredibly hyperactive rabbit? Nobody. Nobody wants that.

In the end, the choice is ultimately yours *cough* Sobble *cough* and I hope that by reading this article *cough* Sobble *cough* you have made the best possible choice hands down out of the three starters *COUGH* SOBBLE *COUGH*

Please take a few seconds to decide on which of the three new starters you would choose to go on adventures with.

Which #Pokemon will be your starter? #PokemonSwordShield #PokemonDay #Grookey #Scorbunny #Sobble
