Games Done Quick (GDQ) returned to kick off the new year as they always do with their Awesome Games Done Quick event. This is an event where some of the best speed runners in the world come together to play games as fast as possible with the goal of raising money for charity. Each game has certain stretch goals in which the runners will perform specific tasks during their run if that goal is met.
This year, Games Done Quick announced that they have raised $2,394,668! This total is, roughly, $150,000 more than last year’s event. Some of the runs happened pretty late; however, if you missed any of them (like I did), they will put them up on their official YouTube channel in the near future.
All of the money raised will be going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
