UPDATE!!!: Mortal Kombat 11 Fans Want Shaggy From Scooby-Doo In The Game

UPDATE!: The Mortal Kombat 11 situation with Shaggy from Scooby-Doo has just gotten more interesting! As Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat posted on Twitter acknowledging the desire for Shaggy to be in the game!

Hi? Lo? Mid? Grab? I will mix your shit up in fighting games! pic.twitter.com/nzCq4iskj7

Now, this doesn’t prove that it’ll happen…but it’s cool nonetheless!

Original Story: In what might be the greatest story of 2019 so far, there is a movement going on at Change.Org. The request? To put Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo into Mortal Kombat 11. That’s right, one of the most scared characters in the history of television is being asked to be put into the game, and it’s glorious.

Woken News Network (WokenNews.com) is taking the much needed initiative of starting this petition to make Shaggy a DLC character for Mortal Kombat 11.

We’re calling on Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to give the fans the fighter they most certainly need

That’s the request right from the team who made this Change.Org petition, but it gets better. As you all likely know, ANYONE can go and make a petition on the site and not get any traction. But here? At the time of this posting, 64,000 people have signed the petition! And the goal is 75,000…they’re going to get it!

Ironically enough, this COULD happen…in theory. NetherRealm Studios is owned by Warner Bros, thus why they made the Injustice games (as DC Comics is owned by them too), and Scooby-Doo as a franchise is owned by WB. So yeah…this could actually happen.

It likely won’t, given that the character doesn’t do offense, and the sight of Shaggy getting eviscerated by Scorpion and the rest is likely too much for some. But hey…they’re making their case, and it’s awesome.

So sign up for the petition if you’re game! Mortal Kombat 11 will release on April 23rd.
