Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood to Receive Complete Series Blu-ray Box Set in Japan

Fullmetal Alchemist

Aniplex announced that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood will receive a complete series Blu-ray release in Japan. The set is scheduled to release on April 3 and will cost, 41,040 yen which is about $378 USD. The set will contain 11 discs with all 64 episodes from the series, including the 4 OVA episodes. In addition to the anime itself, a booklet of some kind is said to be included (although details on what that booklet is remains to be seen) and a 3-disc soundtrack by composer Akira Senju.

The set will be housed in a box case with brand-new original artwork by Hiroki Kanno, who provided the character designs for the television anime.

There is no word on whether or not this release will come to the United States, or if the Japanese release will contain English subtitles for those of us who choose to do a bit of importing. As we get closer to April 3, we’re sure to learn more details about this upcoming release.

Currently, VIZ Media holds the license to the physical manga in North America while Yen Press holds the license for the digital manga. Aniplex of America continues to hold the license for the television anime adaptation.

In addition to the announcement of the box set, a key visual for the release was also unveiled which you can see below:
