First 23-Minutes of Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative is Available on YouTube

GUNDAM!

As promised, the first 23-minutes of the latest Mobile Suit Gundam movie, ‘Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)’, is now available on YouTube.

Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative) is releasing today in theaters in Japan. Produced by Sunrise Studios, this movie takes place after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn. Since then, both mobile suits; Unicorn and Banshee, we locked away forever. Since then, things were supposed to get better for space goers and New Types. Only except that nothing has changed, despite Laplace’s box ending up being the original space treaty that stated that these new evolutions of humanity should be given the same rights as others.

Now, a new Gundam, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex, makes its return after going missing two years prior. Seeing this as a threat, similar to the Unicorn, the Earth Federation and Neo-Zeon set in motion a plan to capture the Gundam. Interesting enough, it appears that this suit uses the same anti-beam coating as the famed Hyaku-Shiki, which gives off a golden appearance. It’s also not the first time Gundam fans have seen this suit.

It also showed up in the short movie, ‘Gundam Reconguista in G: From the Past to the Future’. It was featured as an ancient mobile suit from the past that was rediscovered and eventually defeated.

It also looks like the only returning character so far is Audrey/Mineva Lao Zabi. I was really hoping we’d see Banagher Links again, but seeing how he was stripped of his Gundam, I guess that won’t happen. Then again, who knows, since we aren’t able to see the movie in its entirety. It was also nice to see some older suits being seen as well. Those custom Goufs were really putting in that work. The RX-9 Narrative Gundam also shows up and we get to see it fight it out with Phenex prior to the conclusion of the video.

I’ve been waiting on this movie to be released, but sadly, seeing how it’s just being released in Japan now. There’s no word on if and when this movie will be released in either a Bluray. Or if we’ll even see this over in North America. But given that we’re seeing this video now, at least gives me hope that we’ll get a physical or even a digital release over here in the future.

For now, watch the first 23-minutes and then get ready to wait for the eventual release over here.
