Fate/Extella Link Is Headed To Both The Switch And PC In 2019

By Keith MitchellNovember 1, 2018
Fate/Extella is coming to the PC and Switch

When XSEED Games first announced the Fate/Extella Link was headed to the PS4 and PS Vita, fans of the series were ecstatic. The series is known for its excellent gameplay and over the top action.

However, amongst the crown were multiple people asking for a release on other platforms. And after a long silence from XSEED Games, they’ve finally announced that the title will now release on the Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).  That’s not to say this announcement was unexpected, either as the first game, Fate/Extella was originally released on the PS4 and PS Vita. Following that, it was released for both the Switch and PC. So this new development was expected. Though we expected this to be announced for those platforms at the very beginning. All versions of the game will be released in 2019, we just don’t have the actual release date.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Fate/Extella is very similar to the Koei Tecmo Musou titles. Think the Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warrior games. Now remove the historical elements and replace it with anime characters and bit more action. That’s pretty much what you get with Fate/Extella and it is maddening fun.

While you’re here, check out our review of Fate/Extella for the PlayStation 4.
