HyperX Has Unveiled The Cloud MIX – A Bluetooth Gaming Headset

By Keith MitchellOctober 8, 2018
Cloud MIX Bluetooth headset

You know HyperX as the maker of various gaming accessories. From keyboards, mice, among other things. They also happen to make some damned good gaming headsets. Well, get ready for yet another headset, only this time it has Bluetooth capability – the Cloud MIX.

The Cloud MIX is the continuation of all of HyperX’s previous headsets. Meaning that we should expect the same quality and sound that has made their headsets so renowned.

So let’s talk about specs. According to HyperX, the Cloud MIX will feature 40mm drivers, a closed back for noise cancelation, as well as a detachable microphone. Seem familiar? Since this is a Bluetooth headset, range and battery life are also very important. As such you’ll be happy to know that it’s rated for up to 10 meters/32 feet, and 20 hours of battery life. That’s on par with most wireless headsets, so that’s not too bad. Of course, the upside to all this is that you don’t need to use a dongle. That and they aren’t specific to any specific platform. So you’ll be able to use this on your PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC or whatever supports Bluetooth.  Full specs of the Cloud MIX can be found At the end of this article.

You can also plug in a 3.5mm cable if you don’t feel like using them wirelessly, or if you happen to run out of power. Which happens a lot more than you think it would. Trust me, I know.

The design is similar to the Cloud and Cloud II headsets. The only major difference is that the controls, such as the power and volume controls are located on the right of the headset. You can see this in the images below.

If you want to get your hands on one of these, you’ll have to head to Best Buy as they are exclusive to the store. They’re priced at $199.99 and are currently available now. You can get your own pair by heading to Best Buy’s website, here.

Expect a review from us as soon as we pick up a pair and put them through the paces.

Full specs of the Cloud MIX can be found below.
