Fallout New California, A Mod For Fallout New Vegas Has Been Released After Seven Years Of Development

Today, while everyone is getting excited in checking out the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A, there’s a bit of Fallout news that’s unrelated to that. Fallout New California, as it’s called, is a mod for the older Fallout New Vegas and takes place prior to the game. Now, get this. This mod has been in development for seven years! That’s a long time,  for sure. Which also just happened to be released today, of all days. Go figure, right?

Now, there’s a reason why this mod took so long. Not only does it look amazing but the creator of the mod has stated that this is essentially a new game. It’s also completely narrative, so there’s a story here that can take anywhere from six to 30 hours. Talk about a lot of playing time. According to the team behind the game, there are 13 different endings. It’s also a single player experience. You know, the sort of game that everyone says is dead.

All you need is a copy of Fallout New Vegas, as the game is required to play the mod. Which also happens to be on sale over on Steam for $4.99. Or pick up a copy on GOG, if you don’t already own it. Then download the mod over at https://www.moddb.com/mods/falloutprojectbrazil. The download weighs in at 4GB.

Kudos to Radian-Helix Media for working on this for so long. Also to Bethesda for not killing this project. As we all know far too well, not every gaming company is open to outsiders working on modifications to their games. Definitely give this a try, you won’t be disappointed.
