Capitalizing on the success of DiRT Rally, Codemasters has announced the upcoming sequel, DiRT 2.0 Rally for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The original DiRT Rally, is still am amazing rally experience. One that I still play it to this day, well…. not so much now that Forza Horizon 4 now being released. Judging from the DiRT Rally 2.0 trailer, get more of the same and that’s fine by me.
It also looks like the game has also received a nice visual upgrade. I’m excited to see how it performs – especially on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The trailer is a thing of beauty, I must have watched it a few times already.
Codemasters has dropped a bit of info for the game, which you can see below.
DiRT Rally 2.0 dares you to carve your way through a selection of iconic rally locations from across the globe, in the most powerful off-road vehicles ever made, knowing that the smallest mistake could end your stage.
You will need to rely on your instincts with the most immersive and truly focused off-road experience yet, including a new authentic handling model, tyre choice and surface deformation.
Power your rally car through real-life off-road environments in New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia and the USA, with only your co-driver and instincts to guide you. Race on eight official circuits from the FIA World Rallycross championship, complete with licensed Supercars and support series.
Develop your team and cars around race strategies, and progress through a varied selection of Events and Championships in both a single player Career Campaign and a competitive online environment.
The only thing that isn’t 100% yet, is VR support. Codemasters isn’t sure if they’ll add it, so it will depend on how much of a demand VR support is. So if you want it, be sure to hit up the developers on Twitter and Reddit to let them know.
DiRT Rally 2.0 has a release date of Feb. 26, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s also up for pre-order right now for Steam, here.
