Mario Tennis Aces Was Best-Selling Game In June

By Todd BlackAugust 1, 2018
Mario Tennis Aces Review

It’s been an interesting year for Nintendo and the Switch in 2018. The console hasn’t had too many new 1st party releases, but the ones that they do release seem to do very well. Case and point, in March, Kirby Star Allies was released and it sold over a million copies in about two weeks. And then, in June, Nintendo released Mario Tennis Aces, and it sold well over 1 million units in just 9 days.

This was revealed during the recent Nintendo financial briefing, but the June NPD numbers have now released and it’s been revealed that Mario Tennis Aces was also the best-selling game of June. You can check out the top 10 list below:

  1. Mario Tennis Aces
  2. God of War
  3. Grand Theft Auto 5
  4. The Crew 2
  5. Far Cry 5
  6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  7. LEGO Incredibles
  8. FIFA 18
  9. Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
  10. Detroit: Become Human

It seems that Nintendo has another hit on their hands, and one that could lead to a resurgence of Mario sports title, but we’ll see what the future holds. In the meantime, be sure to check out our review of Aces.
