Fighting EX Layer Version 1.1.0 Launches September 5th

By Zachery PaikaiAugust 24, 2018
Fighting EX Layer Version 1.1.0.

Arika’s Fighting Ex Layer will see an influx of new content once the latest update via v1.1.0 launches globally September 5th at 5 p.m. Japan Standard Time. Version 1.1.0 includes gameplay rebalancing, two new characters, and two new stages (technically four). Arika also held a quaint live stream covering all the upcoming changes and updates of Version 1.1.0. The legendary fighting game veteran, Justin Wong was even present; iterating on patch notes and voicing viewers concerns or questions.

Version 1.1.0 brings its blessings with a universal buff to anti-airs across the board for the entire cast. Pesky jump-ins may have lost their potency, but players will still need to have their anti-airs prepped and ready. Two Gougi Decks, both Babel and Double Face got hit with tweaks resulting in nerfs. Babel received a replacement for Meteor Power with a simple Attack Up and Double Face’s Heads or Tails Gougi will now only grant super armor once at 50% percent of health or lower. Perhaps other Gougi Decks will catch more play with the inherent change to Babel.

Think before you jump everyone.

Pullum Purnum and Vulcano Rosso will finally be added into Fighting EX Layer upon Version 1.1.o’s launch day. New stages are inbound as well with Drift Ice Cruise (Daytime and Aurora versions) and Shinjin Chamber (Silence and Madness versions) releasing within the update too.

Aside from the official patch information given, we also gained a bit of insight regarding possible updates in the future. The inclusion of Lvl. 3 Supers for characters are most likely not happening on account of Arika wishing to avoid players scamming the timer for a win. Stage Select within Training Mode is a no-go as long loading times would be a consequence of adding this feature. CPU battles within Versus Mode are on the table for discussion as well as multilingualization and added subtitles for the game.

Fighting EX Layer is currently available on PlayStation 4.

From the Hawaiian islands, Nanaue, the Prince of Sharks first appeared. This shark man was uncontested in terms of video game prowess. His notoriety of being a top-tier game wiz angered the envious locals and eventually forced Nanaue into exile. His hunger for competition and game knowledge grew as time past. This in tow, leads him to delve into the sea of writing and gaming culture.
