Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Remake Is Looking Mighty Good

By Keith MitchellAugust 23, 2018

Reimaging a classic

With Gamescom 2018 in full swing, Capcom has wasted zero time getting Resident Evil 2 Remake getting as attention as possible. Not only did they release a bunch of new screenshots, but they several videos floating around that showcase the game running. Those videos are easily better than what we’ve seen previously and not only do see Leon but Claire as well.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is a remake of the classic Resident Evil 2 that was released for the PlayStation during 1998. It changes up several aspects of the game, such as introducing an over-the-should viewpoint and removing the need for zapping between Leon and Claire. Instead, the two protagonists will have separate campaigns, however, we don’t know how exactly the two will interact or cross paths. If they ever do.

Definitely one of my favorite Resident Evil titles, so you can imagine I’m really excited for this remake. Sadly, I haven’t had a chance to check out the game directly. So far, we’ve seen gameplay on running on the Xbox one X and PC using Nvidia’s RTX GPU. Each with showing off different parts of the game.

You can check out videos and the screenshots below.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019
