New trailer for Castlevania season two has me very excited

By Keith MitchellJuly 29, 2018
Netflix's Castlevania series

When Netflix first released the first season of the Castlevania show, I couldn’t get enough of it. I must have watched it like seven times already. Of course, I was super excited when they announced the second season. And while we’ve been hearing a lot about it, we haven’t seen much. That’s all changed now that Netflix has released a new trailer for season two.

And damn does it look good. Looks like we’re in for a very interesting ride when this season starts up. Needless to say, I can’t wait.

Right before the first season ended, we saw our trio of reluctant heroes facing the facts. That the battle against Dracula and his horde of monsters is going to take everything they have. That and more, and I really can’ want to see what’s going to happen in this new season. The only downside is that we’re only going to get eight episodes and that’s a bit of a bummer.

Not only will we witness new episodes this fall, but there are reports that a third season was greenlit as well. During an exclusive with Digital Spy, Richard Armitage, who voices Trevor Belmont in the series, mentioned that, “the second season hasn’t aired yet, but we’re about to do a third.” Netflix made no official comment on the existence of a third season in the works, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. The show has garnered positive reviews from critics, and its short seasons that can be binged in one sitting will definitely leave fans craving for more. It would be of little surprise if Netflix renews the series for a third season shortly after the second arrives. The series is loosely based on the NES video game from Konami, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, and follows Trevor Belmont, a disgraced monster hunter who fights against Dracula and his minions. The series features voice acting by Alejandra Reynoso, James Callis, Graham McTavish, and Richard Armitage.

Season 2 of Netflix’s Castlevania will land on the streaming service on October 26, 2018.
