Mugsters, Destructive 3D Puzzle-Platformer, Arrives This Summer

By Ara AlexanderJuly 3, 2018

The “destruction derby” genre, popularized by the likes of Goat Simulator, is great fun for anyone who can hold a controller. Mugsters brings that destruction to the Nintendo Switch, so now, you can take it anywhere. Bored? Tired? Frustrated by a long commute through traffic? Mugsters is there for you, wherever you are.

Mugsters is developed by Reinkout, a tiny team from Finland. Reinkout has previously produced several mobile games, but this is their first game for consoles and PC. The game’s premise is relatively simple: The world is being invaded by aliens, and you are simply one human, trying to save other humans and fend off your attackers. Your “toolkit,” used to complete these missions, is a garage of over 30 different vehicles.

Drive into walls, run over aliens, break anything in your path, rinse, and repeat. If you’re looking for a change of pace, try a rocket ship, a motorbike, or even an ice cream truck. As the trailer reminds you, it’s good to think ahead and consider the consequences of your driving. This forward thinking allows you to maximize your chaos.

Mugsters will be available on July 17th, 2018. You can find it on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and Steam. For more information, visit the game’s website, here.
