Overwatch Says The Champion Is Here But All I See Is A Hamster

By Keith MitchellJune 28, 2018

What’s mechanical, rolls into action, has several blazing guns and has a…. hamster for a head? Well, if you’re Blizzard, you’re calling it “The Champion”.

I kid you not. Recently, Blizzard tweeted out this and I’m not sure what to make of it

It makes perfect sense, right? Hamsters love transparent rolling balls of death. So I guess some madman over at Blizzard must have been like, I got this pet hamster and I think it would be a great addition to Overwatch. Oh, I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

At first guess, I’d assume this is a new tank class. Lots of armor, guns, likely will use the shape for some sort of crowd control and well, it’s piloted by a hamster. So it’s bound to be adorable as well. I checked out Blizzard’s forums and the people there are just as clueless as I am. So I guess we’ll just wait for Blizzard to drop some more info as to what this new hero is all about. [masterslider id=”279″]

For the time being, as can just keep watching the video while playing “The Champ is here”. Over and over, until the adorable nature of this hero wears off. That is if it ever does.

A hamster with guns…..That makes sense since we already have a gorilla with armor, a gun, and a mean streak. What’s next? A crab with a knife? Oh, wait….
