E3 2018: Play the Tale of Yuri Lowell Once Again with Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieJune 10, 2018

The Tales series has had a storied history, with the majority of their titles making appearances on the PlayStation family of home consoles, with the most recent few also making their presences known on Steam, in the forms of Tales of Berseria, Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Symphonia. Now, courtesy of Bandai Namco, the sole Tales entry in the Microsoft family, Tales of Vesperia, is making its way to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year as Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.

The remaster of Tales of Vesperia is based off of the Japan-exclusive PlayStation 3 version of Vesperia, which introduced full voice acting, as well as Patty Fleur, a character new to the series, and Yuri’s best friend, Flynn Scifo as a playable character. Along with these additions, Western players will get new playable scenarios, locations and costumes that were introduce to Japanese audiences over a decade ago.

Tales of Vesperia holds a special place in the hearts of many Tales of fans around the world. The Japanese version of the game, with additional content not seen in the original North American version, will surely delight fans. We are excited to bring Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition to Tales of fans outside of Japan, and whether players choose to play on PC or consoles, they will have more content to explore and enjoy.

Abelina Villegas, Associate Brand Manager – BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 system, Nintendo Switch, and PC via STEAM this winter.
