Dead Or Alive 6 Arriving On PS4, Xbox One and PC In Early 2019

Dead or Alive is back baby!

While Team Ninja announced a cryptic departure from the Dead or Alive series, back in 2017. They followed up stating that they were done with Dead or Alive 5, leaving many to speculate if that meant that Dead or Alive 6 was being worked on. Turns out that’s exactly what was happening as Tecmo has just announced that Dead or Alive 6 is officially being released.

Coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Early 2019. Apparently, IGN knew about the announcement, as Team Ninja had them check out an early build of the game. You can read more about that here. From what IGN has said, the game will be running on a completely new game engine, better facial animations, and damage on not just clothes but also the fighters themselves.

It also looks like Team Ninja wants to draw more players to the DOA series and will be implementing new features to make the game more “beginner friendly”. A new combo system and special attack system called fatal rush and break gauge.

DOA favorites are also slated to return, such as Kasumi, Hayate, Hayabusa, Helena, Jann Lee, and Zack. Thee will be other familiar characters, as well as new fighters. Seeing how the last DOA title featured members from Sega’s Virtua Fighter, I hope we see this continue. And I wouldn’t mind seeing some characters from Tekken or even Street Fighter making the crossover either.

We’ll see more about the game during E3 2018, as Temco has stated that more info will drop on June 11th. Seeing how E3 doesn’t start until June 12, this means we’ll see or hear more during Sony’s E3 2018 conference. Which happens to take place on the very same date.
