The Last Characters and Senran Kagura in BlazBlue:Cross Tag Battle?

By William "Shadowz" KokMay 16, 2018
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

Will two  busty  ninjas of Senran Kagura be making an appearance on Blazblue Cross Tag Battle?

As we approach the release of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, data miners have been discovering data that appears to confirm the last nine characters  of the roster and perhaps two more. This was discovered by Twitter User  @OtherEhm who discovered the data  of the Switch version during the beta.

From BlazeBlue: Izayoi, Mai Natsume, and Nine The Phantom.

From Persona: Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Labrys.

From Under Night: Merkava, Mika, and Yuzuriha.

Along  this detail, OtherEhm also discovered the voice files of the announcer confirming these nine characters. (Begins at the 3:57 mark)

What’s even more interesting is that the announcer states two more names, which are Asuka and Yumi.

Which other series share both those names in the same game? Tekken has an Asuka, but no Yumi. The consensus so far believes that it is of the Senran Kagura series. The Senran Kagura games also has the cast as by one name and not in a first and last name format. Arc System Works has not confirmed this at the time of writing, but the data so far seems to be a good hint of what is to come. Do you think this is a good idea? Do you wish to have more Senran Kagura representation on Switch, PS4, or PC?

Read our impressions of the online beta for the Switch as we detail the game play and style.

Blazblue:Cross Tag Battle is scheduled for release on June 5th for PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
