Rick and Morty Is Back For 70 More Episodes According To Adult Swim

By Jacob SmithMay 10, 2018

After months of fan speculation over the future of the hit cartoon Rick and Morty, any worries can rest at ease with the announcement that our favorite scientist and his grandson will be receiving 70 more episodes. The creator of the show Justin Roiland tweeted the announcement out today paired with a doodle of the titular characters.

This is a huge announcement for a show that just came off of a monumental third season, and has fans understandably excited for what is coming up next for the dysfunctional duo. This comes months after several reports emerged that season four had not been ordered by Adult Swim. The news was troubling to some of the show’s fanbase as the uncertainty around its future continued to grow. However, now avid watchers of Rick and Morty can breathe a sigh of relief as the seventy episode announcement means that we’re in store for seven whole seasons of antics from the intergalactic genius and his bumbling relative.

For more potential future updates on the show follow co-creators Justin Roiland (@JustinRoiland) and Dan Harmon (@danharmon) on Twitter. What do you think, does the idea of seeing Rick and Morty into 2025 excite you?
