While Fortnite has been available for IOS devices for a while, my fellow Android users have been stuck riding the party bus. Well, cheer up gang as Epic Games has announced that Fortnite will finally be available for Android, this Summer.

Now while we have a window, we just don’t have a release date. Summer 2018 is spread across several months, as you know. We’ve love to know exactly when, so we’ve reached out to Epic to see if they’ll spill the beans. We’ll let you know what we find out.

But that’s not all. They’ve also announced that the IOS and Android version, will have the option to customize the games’ HUD. Install size is also being addressed, as the company would like to drop the size a bit and save us some space on our devices. The performance is going to an improvement as well. You can read about this and more on the official Fortnite blog here.

Ever since Fortnite came to iOS, it’s been a big hit. Teachers hate it, kiddos love it and I even caught my daughter playing it. So I have no doubt that once it comes to Android, the game will get even more popular. I really don’t see the draw with playing the game on a smartphone or tablet. But then again, mobile gaming hasn’t been my sort of gaming for a very long time.

Now, playing on the PC?  That’s a completely different story.
