The third season of Overlord has been announced to air this upcoming July. A teaser clip for the season is shown below.

When a popular MMORPG is scheduled to be shut down permanently, veteran player Momonga refuses to log out. As NPCs begin to develop personalities and minds of their own he decides to put his skills to use as the game’s new overlord.
As I mentioned in the review for Overlord II, this third season better make up for the filler and poor story arc they gave us in season 2. I have high hopes for Overlord III so we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes in July.
