Netflix Renews ‘Black Mirror’ for a Fifth Season

By Andrew AgressMarch 5, 2018

If there’s one thing certain about the future, it’s that it will in fact have more Black Mirror. Neflix announced Monday that the hit science fiction anthology series return for a fifth season. No word yet on when it will premiere or how many episodes it will consist of. The streaming service presented the renewal with a brief clip on Twitter. The video contains several clips in itself from various episodes, shown below:

Black Mirror originally premiered on Channel 4 in the U.K. in 2011. Two years later, Netflix purchased the series, created by Charlie Brooker. Since then the show has gone on to receive critical praise and an Emmy Award for season three’s “San Junipero.”

Check out our review of season four, which we called “a fine continuation of the anthology series.”
