Japan’s Next Splatfest Sponsored By Nike, Current Model VS. Popular Model

By William "Shadowz" KokMarch 16, 2018

The next Splatfest for Splatoon 2 in Japan will be sponsored by the shoe company, Nike. The topic do you prefer the latest current model of shoes? Or do you side with the popular model?

pic.twitter.com/R40StXbxx8

This was announced on Splatoon 2 Japanese Twitter account today. Pearl arguing for the preference of current model shoes, while Marina argues for the popular. While not for the rest of the world, I personally would pick the more popular model. Reason being (and no, it’s not because of Marina) is that the current up to date models is just so expensive. It’s like if you continue to keep yourself up with the current trends, you will easily burn through your cash. Popular models can be on the discounted side and still look fashionable. I don’t need to be current, I just need to look good.

This also brings to question if the rest of the world will have sponsored  Splatfests in Splatoon 2. It was nice to have Autobots Vs. Decepticons, or SpongeBob vs. Patrick in the original game. Wonder if we will see something like that again.

This splatfest starts in Japan on March 24.
