Dragon Ball Super Movie Gets A Release Date

By Keith MitchellMarch 20, 2018

With the finale of Dragon Ball Super coming this week, which concludes the Tournament of Power arc, the show will be going on hiatus for a while. As such, Toei Animation has used this opportunity and has announced the release date for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie.

The 20th Dragon Ball movie will be hitting Japanese theaters on December 14, 2018. As of this time, there is no word on if we’ll see a showing in the West. But given the popularity of Dragon Ball, I don’t think the idea is that far-fetched. As for the name of the movie, it’s just called “Dragon Ball Super movie”. That’s not to say that it won’t get a snazzy new name in the future.

As far as the plot goes, the movie will be a continuation of the events from the finale of the Tournament of Power. Meaning, whoever wins will more than likely be heavily present in the movie.

Outside of that, we really don’t know much about the movie, who’ll be in it or the rest of the plot. At the same time, I suppose that’s a good thing. Especially since it will continue off where the series left off and with them saying as little as possible, we’ll all going to be in for a hell of a ride.

Now we just have to endure the wait until December 2018. And with no more DB Super episodes to sustain us, it’s going to be quite the wait.
