’Deadpool 2’ Trailer Finally Reveals Movie Plot

By Sara Roncero-MenendezMarch 22, 2018

There’s been a lot of hype around different trailers, but if we’re being honest, the Deadpool franchise has most others beat. Now, we have a new full trailer for Deadpool 2 that gives us a good idea of what the plot of the movie will be.

As you can see, Deadpool is living the dream: a loving relationship with Vanessa, a successful career, and good friends. However, like all good things, it doesn’t last for long. When cybernetic mutant super soldier Cable winds up in Deadpool’s time, hunting for a child mutant. However, we see that their first encounter doesn’t work out so well for Deadpool.

He then gathers a team of mercenaries and mutants to help protect this kid, including a mutant who manipulates luck named Domino, and our two favorite mutants from the first film, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Shioli Kutsuna may be playing Psylocke, or at the very least, a Psylocke-esque character. For those of you familiar with the comic — yes, this is the X-Force.

All of the main cast are returning to reprise their roles. Josh Brolin plays Cable, Zadie Beetz plays Domino, and Jack Kesy plays Black Tom Cassidy. We also have Terry Crews, Rob Delaney, Bill Skarsgard, and Eddie Marsan in currently unnamed roles. Julian Dennison will be playing the currently unnamed kid who is Cable’s target.

Don’t fret about whether or not this movie is going to get a sequel; Deadpool 3 is already in development.

Deadpool 2 arrives in theaters on May 18, 2018.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
