Ubisoft Is The Top 3rd Party Publisher On The Nintendo Switch

By Todd BlackFebruary 13, 2018
Ubisoft

One of the big things that Nintendo fans wanted to see when the Switch was announced and revealed was that the Big N had gotten some big 3rd party support. Turns out, they got it, and then some. Plus, with the success of the Switch, more developers have come forward to reveal their intent to bring games to the console. But, with nearly a year in the books, which 3rd party team stood out on top? Apparently, it’s Ubisoft.

This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, especially since Ubisoft had one of the big exclusive 3rd Party games in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a game which is still the top-selling 3rd party title on the system. According to CEO Yves Guillemot, this partnership is going to grow, which means more games are coming to the Switch from them:

“So yes, this relationship continues to grow, and we are very happy with what we were able to achieve with Mario + Rabbids. Let’s also not forget the fact that Just Dance is also a big seller on the Switch, and that will continue to follow the growth of that machine. And yes in the future we are going to do more things – we just can’t go over that right now.”

So, what games could show up? There’s a lot of options, and of course, there could be new IP, we’ll just have to wait and see.
