Gal Gadot To Use The Tomb Raider Trainer For ‘Wonder Woman 2’

By Keith MitchellFebruary 7, 2018
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman

While I enjoyed the Wonder Woman movie and thought that Gal Gadot did an amazing job, there was something missing. As somewhat of a fan of the Wonder Woman comics, there was a distinct difference. The onscreen character had the charm of her comic counterpart, but the image wasn’t completely there. Gal Gadot simply wasn’t muscular enough and fans of the movie were quick to point that out.

Well, that’s all about to change for Wonder Woman 2.

With the production of Wonder Woman 2 underway, A new trainer is being brought in to bulk Gal Gadot up. In fact, it will be the same trainer that worked with Tomb Raider’s Alicia Vikander for her role – health and wellness trainer Magnus Lygdback. Lygdback confirmed in an interview with USA Today that he’ll be working with Gadot to get her into Superhero form.

His plan is to give her an increased focus on strength training and mixed martial arts. While less focus on cardio. The goal is to getting her look more like Princess Diane that many hoped to see in the first Wonder Woman movie. You know, the one we’ve seen in the DC comic books.

Judging how Alicia Vikander turned out, I’d say that Gadot is in great hands. I can’t wait to see how she looks when Wonder Woman 2 comes around.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to be released on December 13th, 2019, with director Patty Jenkins and Gadot reprising their roles.
